When I moved to Minnesota in 2018, I didn't quite realize all the ways the move would affect me. For example, I no longer had to commute to work, and I went from being relatively well-known to being unknown. It's been humbling and freeing at the same time. Moving is an example of a transition. I've been through many of them, some I chose and some I did not. Marriage, divorce, illness, loss, retirement, empty-nesting, job changes -- all require us to shift many things.

We need time to name and explore the transitions, to grieve what we left behind and greet what is emerging.

You can process our thoughts and emotions using art, journaling and movement at Transitions and New Beginnings workshops and retreats.
